Temples are our spiritual abodes. Visiting them give us mental peace. From Hinduism point of view, we visit temples not only to attain punya but also to refresh our minds. By worshiping God that is located in the sanctum sanctorum, we try to communicate with him and convey our problems, wishes, etc.
We treat god as a human being and decorate him with all the jewels how we normally wear during festivals and other special occasions. There was a time that our temples are decorated with lot of precious items in terms of diamonds, gold, and others precious metals. Unfortunately, these precious items were looted by foreigners when they invaded India. Now, we are left only with the God statue and nothing else; so, why not we take an initiative two refill the treasures, redecorate our god statues, and return their splendor. This blog knows that it takes lot of effort and sacrifice from all of you. However, there is nothing wrong to take an initiative and test our spirit and strength to re-energize our temples with prayers and treasures. What do you say?
